HOKOWHITU SCHOOL.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS. It is expected that building operations in connection with the Hokowhitu School will comemnce in about six weeks' time, says Mr E. R. Hodge, architect to the Wanganui Education Board. The building, which will house 300 children, or, at a pinch 350, will be ready for occupation early in 1924.
Further lengthy details were given by the architect at informal meeting held on the site of the new school yesterday, when there were present Messrs W. Woodroofe (chairman), .r. G. Ross, A. J. Shailcr and W. H. 15oyce, members of the committee, Mr E.' R. Hodge, architect, Mr E. H. Lang, agricultural instructor to trie Education Board, and Mr T. Andrews (contractor). The meeting, which was called for the purpose of arriving at some decision in the matter of levelling the undulating site decided that the actual area to be covered by the school be done without delay. Several gentlemen offered teams for the purpose.
