A General meeting of the Ota?© Boxing Association was held to-night to consider what steps should be taken, in view of the disqualification Of the executive by the New Zealand Boxing Council. The president and executive decided to resign in a body, and a new chairman was appointed for the meeting. A provisional committee was then set up from members' of the association not concerned in the disqualification, and the meeting then authorised this provisional committee to apply for re-affiliation to the Boxing Council. _ 1 TIMARU OPPOSES CENTRE CONTROL. [Per Press Association.] TIMARU, Last Night The Timaru Boxing AssocTaliofl passed a. resolution strongly opposing the new system of Centre contral and requesting the Council to defer consideration of the matter till the next -annual conference of delegates to be held coincident with the Dominion championships at Dunedin in July.
