TOURNAMENT PLAY* Yesterday was the third day in connection with the croquet tournament of the Manawatu Club. Keen competition resulted, though the ground was decidedly heavy. Following are the results: — Championship Singles.—Mrs Wilson (26) defeated Miss Robertson (23); Mrs Kirk (26) defeated Mrs Blackburne (23); Miss Robertson (26) defeated Mrs Corbridge (1-). Handicap A Singles.—Mr Robertson (26) defeated Mrs Milton (6); Mrs Wilson (26) defeated Mrs McDonald (19); Mrs McGill (26) defeated Miss Anderson 14); Miss Robertson (26) defeated Mrs Thornley (21); Mrs Corbridge (26) defeated Mrs Hannah (21). Handicap B Singles.'—Mrs McGregor (17) defeated Mrs Stubbs (15); Mrs Goldfinch (26) defeated Mrs Bennett (8); Mrs Bennett defeated Mrs Torbit by default; Mrs Hannay (26) beat Mrs Mayes (12).
