Powdrell was not p.ayod on account of time. The final of the men’s hand!, cap doubles held over from the tournament in January, was played between McDona'd and Hooper and S. and J. Powdrell and resulted in a win for the former by 60 points to 58. MANAWATU VERSUS PONTON P’oxton proved ioo difficult a proposition for the members of the Manawatu Club, who journeyed to the port for the day. The visitors were generously entertained by the Foxton players, and same excellent tennis was witnessed. A WIN FOR LONGBURN. A most enjoyable day was spent by members of the West End Club, who tried conclusions with the Longburn players on the latter’s courts on Saturday. The visitors were narrowly defeated but put up a good showing. Longburn secured ten sets against West End’s six.
