The “ Daily Express ” Geneva corre. spoudent states that Mathez, a Swiss farmer, died twice within 15 hours’ at the little town of Jura, in the Alps. He was found frozen, lying deep in the snow. A doctor certified that his heart was frozen and that the man was dead. The family prepared for the funeral, but eight hours afterwards, Mathez sat up in bed and said: “I am hungry.” He ate a good meal, then after seven hours gasping for breath, fell back dead. The doctor re.examined him and found that he had died from a heart attack. He said it was most remarkable that the heart should resume after not beating for hours.
