At the third wool sale, which opened this morning, 21,834 bales were offer ed. The benches were fried with buy. ers and bidding was spirited, Extra quality super half.bred brought from par to ton per cent, higher than the last sale, medium fro inferior halfbred, ton per cent, lower, throequarter bred, five to ten per cent, lower, cross brd, ten to fifteen per cent, lower. Merino was neglected, 50d. per lb. was secured for one bale of extra super Merino, (he highest price obtained in New Zealand. PRODUCE MARKET. WHOLESALE QUOTATIONS. "Times” Office, Friday Night, Values for farmers’ produce show no alteration since last week, with the solitary exception of B Gartons, which have eased to 3/2, a decrease of 2d. Prices are:—Rangitikei chaff, £7 .10/s.i. on trucks Rangitikei stations; fowl wheat, 4/6 f.0.b., south; B Gar. tons, 3/2; machine dressel Algerians, 4/9 f.0.b., south. Potatoes: Local, £5 15/-; eggs, 1/9; cheese, lid; butter, farmers’ 1/4, factory 1/8.
