KAKARIKI MEAT WORKS,

REPORTED CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP. The Wellington Meat Export Company’s Kakariki freezing works have been closed down, and it is rumoured that the ownership has been transferred to big interests outside New Zealand. Mr Dixon (manager) has been transferred to Wellington, and Mr McFie (engineer) has gone to Ngahauranga. It is understood that Mr Fuller, of Ngahauranga, is taking charge on Monday. All hands are leaving to. day on account of the shortage of stock. The office furniture has been taken away, and all the meat bags have been sent forward.
