The New South Wales Rugby League team defeated Auckland province by 21 to 20, in a hard, fast and interesting game. The first spell was fairly even, each side attacking In turn the Auckland forwards frequently penetrating the defence, and being always dangerous. The spell ended New South Wales 16. Auckland IS. In the second spell, the sou., tackling of the Auckland backs kept the visitors’ score down. For the visitors, the scores were: Burge, Horder, Gray and Toohey (2), Horder and Burge (2) converting, and for Auckland T. Lalng (2), Wetherlll and Wilson scored, Davidson kicking a penalty’, and Davidson (2) and Dufty converting.
