EIGHTY ARRESTS.
OP MONARCHIST PLOTTERS. AMAZING FACTS BROUGHT TO LIGHT. GERMAN MURDER MYSTERIES. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Friday, 9.30 a.m.) BERLIN, June 29. Three men, Techow, Fischer and Kauer have'been arrested for assassination of Herr Rathenau. The firstnamed is identified as the driver of the motor-car. Sevoral members of .an organised gang of conspirators have alHo been arrested on charges of complicity, including Von Killinger, who was acquitted on a charge of aiding Erzberger's murderers. The London "Daily Express" Berlin correspondent says Techow, Fischer and Kauer are> members of the notorious Monarchist organisation "Consul," and formerly belonged to the Ehrhandt Brigade. They have confessed not only to the murders of Rathenau and Erzberger, but also regarding the inner workings of the "Consul." The facts relating to a hundred political murders committed since 1919, and hitherto a complete mystery, are now fully known to the police. Startling revelations regarding intimate relations between Ludendorff, Helfferich, Von Jagow, Count Westarp (Leader of the Prussian Conservatives) and the murderers of Rathenau are disclosed by the arrest of a student named Guenther, who, it is alleged, secured the motor-car for Rathenau'a assailants. It is understood that Ludendorff, Helfferich and Westarp, fearing arrest, are contemplating flight. STUDENT THE CHIEF CONSPIRATOR. (Received Friday, 7 p.m.) BERLIN, June 29. It is officially stated that the murderers of Rathenau are named Techow (a Berlin student), Fischer (a Saxon), and Knaur (of Mecklenburg). Altogether, eighty arrests have been made. All are members of a Monarchist organisation. They include Techow's brother, a student aged 21 years, who, it is believed, drove the murderers' motor-car. Guenther, another student, is allegedly the chief conspirator, who worked out the details of the murder, and Schutt, of Berlin, from whose garage the assassins obtained the motor-car.
