J. C. WILLIAMSON PANTOMIME. "BABES IN THE WOOD." The J. C. Williamson pantomime this year, "Babes in the Wood," will be presented at the Opera House. Palmerston North, for the first time on Saturday and Monday week. The season is for two nights and one matinee. The piece, which lias been styled the "Full Steam Ahead" pantomime, comes with high praise from Australian critics. Special attention has been paid to the scenery and costuming. There are 22 scenes, and the people in the pantomime number 100. The principals are said to form a very talented combination. Miss Nora Delariy is the principal boy, and Miss Ida Pedrlna the principal girl, while Mr Jack Williams is the Dame. Also included in the cast are Mr W. S. Percy, the well-known comedian, Naughton and Gold, eccentric comedians, Miss Audrey Thacker, who plays "Littlejohn," Miss Josie Melville, premiere danseuse, and Mr Frederick Mackay, premiere danseuse, and Miss Eloie Allen. A matinee will be given on Monday, .May 29th. The box plan will open at Oatcs' Music Stores on Thursday, May 25th. Nora Delariy, who plays "Robin Hood," is off the stage. Lady Maxwell, wife of Sir Willian Maxwell, and is a great favourite in pantomime and musical comedy with London audiences. The pantomime is in two acts and 22 scenes, most of which require the full stage for exploitation.
