MOST IMPORTANT MEASURE.

LAW BILL BEFORE COMMONS. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Tuesday, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON. May 16. The House of Commons read a second time the Law Property Bill. The Solicitor-General described it as the biggest Bill ever introduced Into the House. It facilitates and cheapens dealings in land, simplifies conveyancing, assimilates real property to personal, and places women on the same footing as men in regard to succession in case of intestacy. He paid a tribute to the great skill of the Lord Chancellor. It was owing to this that the Bill was accepted by the law societies and others interested.
