ENTERTAINMENTS.

ROSY. “The Girl of my Dreams” and “A Tavern Knight,” are the leading features in an attractive series which will be shown at the Kosy Theatre today and this evening. PALACE. “Not Guilty” attracted another large attendance to the Palace Theatre last night. The story, from the novel by Harold MacGrath, is one of the finest dramas the screen has produced; it is a picture of big moments and many powerful, dramatic situations. THU re are many original twists, not the least interesting of which is when the Chinese thieves break into the house and the hero is saved by a parrot. There is a big cast in the feature and the leading man is Richard Dix. An excellent comedy and the latest Pathe Gazette complete an entertaining bill which receives its final screening to-night. ‘THE KID.” The plans for the season of Charlie Chapman’s feature, “The Kid,” will open at the Kosy Theatre office next Monday. “The Kid” will be shown at the Palace Theatre next Wednesday afternoon and evening only. It will then be shown at Everybody’s Theatre for four matinees and nights, commencing its run at the latter theatre on Thursday afternoon. EVERYBODY’S. The attraction at Everybody’s Theatre this evening will be the great Universal feature “Conflict,” a drama which is weird, mysterious and of absorbing interest. A good supporting series includes the latest Pathe Review. INDEPENDENT PICTURES. BIG DOUBLE FEATURE BILL FOR MONDAY, Polygamy was fast sweeping over Germany under the old Imperial government, which forced women to submit to all sorts of humiliating conditions so that the population might be increased to compensate for battle losses. These conditions are shown in “When Men Desire,” The Theda Bora super-production which opens on Monday at the Independent Pictures. “Smiles and Trumps,” a big Maurice Flynn comedy, the Fox News and “The Ghostly Wallop” will also be screened. To-night therefore will be the last opportunity of seeing May Allison in ”Blg Game,” a fascinating Fox romance. Patrons are reminded that owing to the alteration of the Bus time-table, the Independent Pictures will start at 7.45 p.m. as from Monday next. The great Fox super feature “Over The Hill” will be here on Alay 22nd.
