A MURDER CHARGE.

ACCUSED COMMITTED I pit TRIAL. (Per Press Association.) THAMES, Last Night. Proceedings concluded this morning in connection with the preliminary charges against Arthur William Page, for the alleged murder of Mrs Gladys M. Hutchison, at Pipiroa, on 7th February. Accused was committed to stand his trial at Auckland lon the charge of wilful murder. The evidence disclosed the fact that the accused m/de a voluntary statement to th 0 police, admitting the crime, and saving tjhat he alone was responsible. At the inquest in connection with the death of the deceased woman, a verdict was returned by Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M. (Coroner), that Mrs Hutchison met her death in accordance with the medical evidence, as a result of gunshot wounds inflicted by Page earlier in the day. Throughout the proceedings, the. accused maintained an attitude of nonchalance, almost approaching Indifference.
