THE PRIME MINISTER.
VISIT TO KAWA KAWA. (Per Press Association.) KAWA KAWA, Last Night. The Prime Minister was s entertained by the directors of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company at the new Moerewa works to-day. The Prime Minister congratulated the farmers and settlers on their enterprise, and spoke hopefully of the future generally, as far as the markets were concerned. He considered that wool was not yet at its top price, and he also predicted a better future for beef. He urged the use of Nauru Island phosphates. He hoped in the near future to improve on the railways. In the afternoon Mr Massey received a number of deputations at Kawa Kawa, and was entertained at dinner in the evening. Ho was the guest of Mr Vernon Reed, of Paiha, for the night.
