THE RUGBY CODE.

JACKEYTOWN CLUB. The annual meeting of the Jackeytown Football Club was held at Tiakitahuna yesterday evening and was attended by about fifteen light blue stalwarts. Mr D. Rowlands presided, and in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, said that the Club had had a. most successful year and had nothing to be afraid of during the coming season. The balance-sheet showed the Club to be in debt to the extent of 19/10. Both were adopted. It was decided to play one senior, one junior and if possible one third-grade team this year. The subscription was fixed'at 5/-. It was agreed to play the annual fixture with Taikorea on April Ist. The following office-bearers were elected:—President: Mr A. Matheson (re-elected); hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr- G. A. Nlcol (re-elected); delegates to Manawatu Rugby Union, Ilessrs D. Rowlands and P. Small; Club Captain, F. Carroll; vice-captain, A. Anderson. The delegates to the central body were instructed to urge the principle of ‘‘home and home” matches upon the Union.
