CROQUET CHAMPIONSHIP.
ALL SECTIONS NOW PLAYING. All the playing areas were continually occupied yesterday in connection with the Dominion Croquet Championship, and such good progress has been made that the tournament is certain to bo concluded at an earlier date than was anticipated. The committee of management owes special thanks to Mrs Wilson, who has placed her motor car at its disposal for the transfer of players from one green to another, it is hoped that cue final stages will be reached by to-morrow.' Caughley beat Mrs Tiffen, 2 —o. LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. Second round; Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Murray Aynsley,22B; Mrs Hogan beat Mrs Lowery, 26 —16. Third round; Mrs Johnson beat Mrs Sedgwick, 26 —14; Mrs Ferguson beat Miss Whitaker, 26—18. MIXED DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP. First round: Mesdames Watkins and Pitcaithley beat Mesdames Clarkson and Coltman, 26 —11; Mrs Tiffen and Miss Blake beat Miss Card and Mrs Barry, 26 —15. Second round: Mrs Aynsley and Ross beat Mesdames Wilson and Lawrie, 26—6; Lawrence and Mrs Haney beat Mesdames Perry and Evitt, 26 20; Mesdames lanes and Baxter beat Miss Whitaker and Pollock, 26 —25.
