MARKET PRICES
AT PALMERSTON NORTH. The producers are receiving the undermentioned prices from the wholesalers of Palmerston North this week for their farm produce:—Dairy butter, 1/6 per pound; cheese, Hid per pound; the egg circle price of eggs remains at 1/6, while the retailers are purchasing them at 1/3 per dozen; oaten chaff, Rangltikel grown, £6 10/; the demand for H.B. chaff is poor, and it is selling at £6; Garton oats 3/3i f.0.b., South Island: Algerian oats suitable for dressing, 3/3 per bushel free on rail; the price of South Island grown potatoes remains at £2 5/- per ton. New potatoes are realising £l2 (Pukekohe).
