THE CHANNEL TUNNEL.
MARSHAL FOCH'S OPINION. [By Electric Cable—Copyright] [Aust, and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 28. The House of Commons Channel Tunnel Committee has isued a booklet, containing Marshal Foch’s opinion that had there been a tunnel in prewar times it might have prevented the war. Had the British and French- possessed a tunnel in 1914, it would have shortened the war by at least two years.
