ARMOUR AND CO.

WANGANUI OPINIONS. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Wanganui Meat Freezing Company on Wednesday, Mr D. Ross stated that it was time the bogey regarding the trusts was thrown overboard. He maintained that Armour and Co., the company that many wanted to. refuse a license to, was the only honest trust of the whole lot. They were the only trust that came straight out and asked for a license. The others had put their money into various concerns operating in New Zealand, and they did not know exactly who they were. He hoped that Armour and Co. would be granted a license, • ' Other speakers endorsed the opinion expressed by Mr Ross. Mr C, L. Dulgan stated that, if the great majority of the farmers were favourable, then there was no rca’son why Mr Massey should not grant a license to Armour- and Co.
