A SUGGESTION.

(To the Editor.) Sir.-—-May I suggest a means whereby ihe funds of the “Plelp the Mothers” campaign could be considerably augmented, and at The same time the growing generation receive a los-jon having not only n, humanitarian, but an educational value as well. Today, by accident, I saw a diminutive notice, telling the citizens that “On request ’bus stops here.” Why should not the Borough Council run a competition, open to all school 'children, and offer a prize to the one able to send in the correct location of the greatest number of* these signs, closing the competition a week before Christmas; anyone using a telescope or field glasses to be disqualified. Any notice defaced by the hies and totally obscured not to be counted. By this means not only would the campaign funds be augmented, but the children receive the benefit of the training in observation.—l am, etc., SALADIN.
