SEASIDE SECTION SALE.
The sale of 70 seaside sections at Paraparaumu next Saturday is creating ordinary interest. The huge demand will again be temporal', arlly met by this further cutting up of sections. The popularity of this beach was more than exemplified at the last sale, when 96 sections (all that were offered), sold under the hammer. A large number of residents of Wellington, Feilding, Palmerston North, Dannevirke and other towns, intend combining business with pleasure and making the trip by train to Paraparaumu beach where they will choose their section, attend the and return by the evening train. The sale commneces at L p.m. and will be finished in time to allow visitors to catch Wellington and Palmerston North trains which leave Paraparaumu at 4.15 p.m. and 6.10 p.m. respectively. Ltd., Palmerston North, report on their usual monthly sale at Ashhurst, on Wednesday, the sth hist.:—We had a good yarding pA' sheep and a fair entry of cattle, practically the whole of which was sold under the hammer at very satisfactory prices, fat and forward sheep selling very well. We quote:—Sheep: Romney ewe lambs 12/; b.f. lambs 13/; medium mixed lambs 6/3, 7/1, to 7/6; small lambs 2/10, 3/, 3/6. to 5/2; mixed 2-ths 6/ to 9/6; mixed age ewes 5/; f.m. ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 9/4; fat ewes, 10/; mixed 2-ths, fat, 13/2. Cattle: Mixed weaners, 8/; yearling heifers, 37/; heifers, 2-yr r.w.b. £5/5; store cows, 20/, 30/, to £2/5; dairy cows, June and July calvers £7 to £9/10; yearling bulls 15/; totara posts 2/. A quantity of other sundries, was readily disposed of.
