1 A telegram from Beuthen, an important woollen and manufacturing centre in the midst of the mining district in Prussian Silesia, reports that ji strikei has occurred among the miners. / The latter, who are. mainly Poles, are excited over rumours that German mineownerS intend to blow up the mines in Plcss, Rybnik and Kattowitz. The strike is regarded as a preliminary measure to the Polish occupation of Upper gilesia.
