In an effort to secure an eleventh -hour release from a well-nigh hopeless iituation the Austrian Chancellor has intimated a desire to visit London to discuss the situation, pointing out that he does not desire to deal with politics nor in any. way alter the Peace Treaty, but that on account of the absence of an effective measure the kroner, whieh a few months ago, stood at 600 to £, is now nearly 3000. The Budget deficit which was then seven milliards is now forty milliards.
