The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, Palmerston North, report:—On Tuesday, wo held the Rongoloa Annual Weimer Pair. The entry was not as large as'previous years, but Die quality was very fair. An average attendance of buyers were present, and good Jersey, Jerseycross and Holstein Heifers sold freely at very satisfactory prices, steers and ordinary mixed weaners however, were skimpy. We quote:—Jersey heifers £5 to £7, Jerseycross heifers £2/15/0 to £3/7/6, Holstein heifers good, £4, £4/5/0, to £5, Holstein heifers ordinary £3, Mixed heifers 35/- to £2/3/6, Jersey bull weaners to £S, steers shorthorn 37/6 to £2, steers ordinary £1 to £l/11/0, empty cows £4 to £4/12/6, F. and F. cows £7/7/6 to £B/2/6, Potter Dulls £2 to £5. Lambs:—s/10, 9/9, 9/11, to 10/-. Dalgety and Coy. Ltd., report on their Raumai sale held on Bth infant. We had a fair yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. The quality of offering was, on the whole, below average. We quote:—Sheep:— Small lambs to 5/6, 2-tooth wethers 17/11, 2-tooth ewes 15/-, 4 and 6tooth ewes 16/11. Cattle: —Bulls £3/17/6. Dalgety and Coy. Ltd., Palmerston North, report on their Ashurst Sale. Sheep:—Cull lambs 3/3, mixed 2-tooths 14/2, fat ewes 19/-, Fm. S.D. Rams 2J guineas. Cattle: —Store cows £2/2/0, bulls 35/- to £2/15/0. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, Palmerston North, report:—At our Himatangi Sale on Monday, we had an average entry of sheep and cattle. Bidding was slow, the majority of the yarding changed hands, and prices were below recent sales. We quote:— Pat B.P. 2rtooths 20/-, wooly lambs (fair) 10/1, shorn lambs (fair) 9/7, Springing heifers £lO to £lO/5/0, fat ■ows £B/7/0, bulls £2/10/0 to £6. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a fair entry of sheep at their Hunterville sale on Tuesday, Bth February, 1921. Quotations: Small lambs 6/. 7/ to 8/, medium lambs 10/, mixed aged ewes 10/. At their Mangaweka sale or Thursday, 10th February, a very good yarding of sheep came to hand, the majority of which changed hands ai following prices:—Good 2-th wethers 21/1, small lambs 6/, T/ a . to S/, medium lambs 10/6 to 12/. A line of 540 good shorn Romney cross wether lambs sold at 14/. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Palmerston North on the 10th inst. wc had a good yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. We quitted the bulk of the yarding at the following prices; Good shorn lambs 13/5 to 15/2, medium lambs 5/10, 6/3 to 8/11, cull lambs 3/6 to 5/, fat ewes 17/6, 18/1 to 21/6, store ewes 6/ to 7/6, 2-th .wethers 17/. Cattle: Forward cows £4 7/6 to £7 7/G, 2-year empty Jersey heifers to £8 15/, weaners £2 2/6 to £5. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report that at Raumai on the Bth inst. we had a good yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle. There was no enquiry for cattle of any description, but most of the yarding of sheep sold at the following prices: 4 and 6-th ewes to 15/, mixed age ewes 10/ to 12/, shorn cull lambs 1/, 3/9 to 4/9. 2-th S.D. rams sgns to Ggns, T.M.
