The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-op. Association, Ltd. (Stock Dept.), Dannevirke, report on. their usual weekly sale held in the* Miller's Road yards on Friday, the 4th Inst, as follows: — A good entry of sheep and a medium one of cattle came forward. We yarded 1400 sheep, the bulk comprising , lambs, which varied in quality from good to indifferent, indifferent qualities predominating. The market throughout was fairly good, vendors recognising the fact that lower values must be accepted, and met the market. With the exception of one small pen of lambs, we disposed of our entry at prices, we think, in advance of late sales reports. The demand for cattle was only medium, but in sympathy with previous sales reports, and sales were made at prices in favour of purchasers. The following list of sales will give an indication of market values: —28 best woolly lambs, 15/6; 135 do., 15/-; 153 medium do., 11/7; 74 best shorn lambs, 14/-; 29 do., 13/6 103 do., 12/6; 33 medium shorn lambs, 10/2; 91 do., 9/11; 234 do., 9/2; 31 do., 9/-; 90 do., 7/4; 166 small and inferior shorn lambs, 5/1; 100 do., 4/6; 31 do., 4/8; 1 at 2 shear S.D. rams (keen enquiries), lOgns to 12?.gns; 56 store ewes, 13/1; 8 fat heifers, £S/10/-; 17 2* year P.A. steers, £7; 2 do. heifers, £7; 1 fat cow, £6; 1 dairy cow, £11; 3 dairy heifers, £6; 17 store cows, £4/6/-; 1 bull, £5.
