TARANAKI RACES. GLOAMING WINS THE STAKES. (Per Press Association.; NEW PLYMOUTH, Last night. The Taranaki Jockey Club Autumn Meeting concluded to-day in fine weather. There was a large attendance, and the course was in good, order, though tho going was on the hard side.

OKOKE HACK HURDLES. —Munition (N, K. McDonell) 1, Te Toa 2, Toa Tere 3. Also started: Banogue, Kipling, Applaud and Ah Fu. Won by three-quarters of a length, a length between second and third. Time, 2.56. KAWAU HACK HANDICAP.— Stork (H. Gray) 1, Quiniro 2, Trombone 3. Also started: Prodigal, Lord Ashlea, Complex, Riki, Halcyon and Watercall. Won by two lengths and a-half, a length between second and third. Time, 1.51. SEVENTH TARANAKI STAKES. — Gloaming (B. Deeley) 1, Silver Link 2, Rossini 3. Only starters. Won easily by one and a-half lengths, two lengths between second and third. Tim 3, 1.16 2-5. OMATA HACK.—Festive (A. McCormack) 1, Master Curran 2, Skylight 3. Also started: Molieen Oge, Empyrean, Piano, Athlone and Belle Noir. Won by half a length, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.16.

The Gisborne Racing Club Summer Meeting opened in dull weather, and rain fell at intervals up till the fourth race. There was a good attendance, and the coarse was in first-class condition and the going good. The totalisator put through £20,999, compared with £23,415 last year. HANDICAP HURDLES.—Crosswords (A.
