The tote handled £31,840 as compared with £32,343 for the same day last year. WAITARA HACK HURDLES HANDICAP. —Ngakanui (H. Burt) 1, Kipling 2, Te. Toa 3. Also started: Applaud, Toa Tere. Won by four lengths., half a length between second and third. Time, 3.15
