RUGBY'S GRIP.

At the Rugby referees' meeting, Brooks, a New Zealander, scouted the reportS that the Northern Union game would oust the Rugby Union game in New Zealand. The reverse, he declared, would be the case. No portion of the Empire was more loyal to the Rugby game than New Zealand. It had the firmest hold upon all players of football, from the youngest up.
