N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., Dannevirke, report:—-We held our usual sales at Norsewood on Monday (tith), and Dannevirke on Friday (10th), when we offered small vardings of cattle, no sheep comingforward. The general tone of the narket was very indifferent and consequently very few lines changed hand=s. We. quote:—Fat steers (light) El 3, fat cows (light) £B, forward cows ?7, 2vr. steers £5, yearling steers ■2/15/-. HARRY PALMER AXD CO.'S MART SALES. Following are the sales:—Weaners and slips 14/ to 44/, stores and porkers to 52/6; turkey gobblers 50/ to 68/ pair, turkey hens 30/ to 34/; geese 17/ to 22/; ducks and table ducklings 9/6 to 16/; W.D. pullets 25/, cockerels to 13/6, small ducklings to 5/9, hens 7/ to 12/. Teaches S/6 to 12/6 per hj case. At Mr Salmond sale hens realised to 18/6, ducks to 15/, hens with chickens to 31/.
