At Jersey City, Carpentier knocked •out Levinsky in the fourth round.^ Boxing devotees declare that L,arpentier's fighting left much to be desired. Levinsky was notably ™fa-K, .and it is not to be commended that Carpentier entered the ring at -<U* pounds and Levinsky at 175. In the first round both men fought coony, -and were sparring energetically when the bell rang. In the second Carpentier sent a left and right to the jaw, knocking down Levinsky twice lor a count of eight. Levinsky vas diz/.y at the finish. In the third round Levinsky clinched, landing light blows Carpentier landed lefts and rights at •will, finally gliding half way across the ring. He knocked out his opponent with a right to the jaw.
