LITTLE CHANGE IN PRICKS. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Last Night. At the Addington market there was an average yarding in all sections except fat sheep, which were forward in reduced numbers. Values in mutton consequently showed a slight improvement, but there was little change in other lines. The store sheep entry was of better quality,' mainly consisting- of hoggets and ewes. The market was especially firm for good quality sheep. TA\ r o-tooth ewes in lamb made 35/ to 38/9, six and eighttooth ewes in lamb 32/ to 37/, aged ewes in lamb 23/ to 27/G, four and six-tooth wethers 38/ to 40/6, two, four, six and eight-tooth wethers to 32/, two ami four-tooth wethex’S 30/ to 38/6. good ewe hoggets 29/6 to 32/, ordinary ewe hoggets 26/8 to 29/, good mixed sex hoggets 26/ to 29/, ordinary mixed sex hoggets 24/9 to 25/9. wether hoggets 24/6 to 28/6. Pat sheep.—The smallest yarding foxsome time, with a slight increase in values on those ruling last week. Extx-a prime wethex-s made 52/ to 61/3, prime wethers 41/6 to 51/6, medium wethers 37/ to 43/, light and unfinished wethers 33/10 to 36/9, extra prime ewes to 53/5, prime ewes 37/3 lb 46/9, medium fewes 29/ to 35/6, hoggets 20/ to 35/9. Fat cattle. —The market opened slackly, but livened up as it progressed, and although sales were not so free towards the end, the market was practically OU a par with last Week. Extra prime steers made £32 5/ to £35 10/, prime steers £25 15/ tb £29 7/6, medium steers £l7 to £24 10/, light lino, unfinished stews £l3 to £l6, eNira. prime heifers £24 15/, prime heifers £l6 30/ to ll 1 ! 3 0/, ordinary heifers £l2 5/ to £3 6, prime cows to £2l 5/, ordinary cows £l2 10/ to £l7 10/, light and inferior cows £8 7/6 to £ll 15/. Vealers. —The supply was short and prices were higher. Runners to £9 15/, good vealers to £7 15/. Dairy cattle. —There was a big yarding of. poor quality, and. except for good springers, a slight decj-exi.se in values. Good third calvcrs to £2O 10 A springing heifers £l4, empty cows £7 12/6. Store cattle. —There was a large yarding generally of inferior quality, but xi better tone than last week. Three-year-old steers brought to £3 3 5/, and 20-months to two-year steers to £5 3/6. Fat pigs.—Last week’s high rates were maintained. Choppers to £3 1 15/, toaconers to £7 15/, j hexivv baconers £9 15/ (average price } per ib, 1/11 to 3/2), porkers £4 10/ to £5 5/. heavy porkers £5 3.0/ to £6 5/ (average price per lb, 1/31 to 3/4). Store pigs.—Sows in pig to £3 3 10/. good stoics to £5, medium to £4 8/, weaners 30/ to 50/.
