Mr J. A. Nash, M.P.. has been elected chairman of' the Select Committee in the House of Representatives, which has been appointed to hear evidence and report on local butter prices. The Government has not yet received definite information of the decision of the butter-pro-ducers regarding export, but it is safe to say that the price will be equivalent to 2/6 a lb, f.o.b.
Tea towelling at 2/1 in 2oin width at Collinson and Cunninghame’s; in union linen same width for 2/6, and in heavy all linen, 27in. 2/10. White terry roller towelling, 16in.. is 1/7. better quality being 1/11 in ISin and 20in at 2/4. Cash discount of penny in each shilling.*
