The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd., report having' held a very successful sale of dairy stock at Te Relumga. on account of Mr N. Inder, on July 21. The herd included a fair number of late calvers and a few unsound cows, which sold at from £9 to £l3. The average price for the herd was £2l 9/. A few high-grade Jersey heifers were also offered, some making, we think, record prices for the the district, the top price being £3l, others making £l6 to £2B 10/. Other items met with correspondingly good prices. Jersey weaner heifers £8 to £9 10/, pedigree red poll bull 325 guineas spring cart horse £3O, sows in pig £l2 to £l3 15/, slips £2 1/ to £2 5/. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd. (Dannevirke), report on their usual weekly sale held on July 23rd, as follows: —A good yarding' of all classes of stock came forward. Sheep were in good demand, and we effected a total clearance of our entry under the hammer, prices again being in advance of late sales report. We offered a number of dairy cows and heifers, which met with keen competition. Abraham and Williams. Ltd., report having held a very successful clearing sale on account of A. Wallen, Ashhurst, on 2 6th inst. There was a small attendance but bidding was brisk. We Quote as folows: —Cows Just calved £l4 10/ to £2-5, early cal vers £l9 to £26,, later calvers £l2 to £IS 10/, empty cow £8 5/, springing Jersej cross heifers £5 10/, Jersey bull £24, sows £lO 10/ o £lB, maiden sows £2 17/6, sows with litters £l3 10/, store pigs £2. 8/ to £2 12/6, Berkshire boar £lO. ' Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. Palmerston North, repart having an exceptionally large entry of sheep and a very fau entry of cattle at their Feilding sale on Fiday, 23rd July, 1920. There was good competition for all lines offered, and practically a total . clearance was effected.
