A conference of delegates of Ruhr miners advocated the speedy socialisation of the mining industry, R unanimously passed a resolution protesting against the Allied occupation of the Ruhr district, affirming that the miners were willing to increase the output of coal in order to meet the Entente’s demands as well as Germany’s home consumption, and the contracts for Poland, Switzerland and Scandanavia, if better food is provided. The miner's’ leaders state that they are amazed at the Government’s uncompromising refusal of their demands, therefore they have instructed the executive to formulate a ballot paper for a special conference on the 12th August. All districts have been warned that another grave industrial emergency is imminent.
