SALE OF WORK.
A sale of work inaugurated by the members of the Baptist Young- Women's Bible Class was held in the hall attached to the Congregational Church in Broad Street, yesterday. The bazaar was opened yesterday afternoon and was continued in the evening: A large number of sympathisers attended at the hall both in the afternoon and the evening, and the stallholders were kept busy supplying the requirements of their numerous patrons. The stalls were corated, and numerous competitions afforded considerable amusement, and the refreshment room for afternoon tea and supper was liberally patronised. In the evening a musical programme was provided by Misses Inkpen, Cotton, and Shaw, and Mr Inkpen. The following were the stallholders :—Sweets, Misses Holbrook, Rush and Mines; produce, Misses: H.l- - and Ladd; flowers, Misses Pees and Baker; cooked food, Misses James, Seifert and Honore; jumble, Misses Bush and Pens; tea rooms. Mcsdames Buncombe, U and *. Grover and Misses Ingleheld, Whitehead and Broad. The proceeds, which are in aid of Foreign Missions, amounted to £32.
