PRINCE IN SYDNEY.
BOYCOTT OF CATERERS. [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Thursday, 7.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, Last night. A feature of yesterday's invasion of the city by visitors, was the small patronage of restaurants, largely as the result of the increased prices instead of the expected rush to restaurants, the people brought their own supplies, or bought packet lunches. Generally, since the tariffs have been raised the patronage of restaurants has steadily decreased. The city is taking itself quietly today, after yesterday's supreme eflort. The Prince also had a comparatively quiet day. The chief functions were the investiture of recipients of civil and military honours; a levee at.Government House, and the presentation of loyal addresses by a large number of public bodies. Many hundreds oi people availed themselves of the opportunity of shaking hands with the Prince.
