3iAN SE \ IRKI 3 DOINGS. This afternoon a Willys Knight motor car in tne yard of Mr J. Neaglc's business promises in High Street was partially destroyed by fire. It was for .some moments amass of flames and all the uphoLstery was destroyed. The vehicle belonged to Mr J. A. Ross, late licensee of the Masonic Hotel, and is believed to be insured. Trouble in the engine caused the fire, which occurred in close proximity ro building's. Two young men named Leonard Lawrence Malmanche and "William O'Connor took a motor-car belonging to a taxi driver, Mr H. Meakin, and went for a joy ride the other night. The 2ar ran into a fence and was knocked about. They pleaded guilty, and blamed drink. —Fined £lO each with costs over .'-2 8, in default two months in gaol. lA prohibition order was issued against Malmanche.
