MANAWATU HUNT.
Beautiful weather prevailed yesterday afternoon, when members of the Manawatu Hunt assembled at the homestead of Mr D. B. McEwen, from whence they had some capital sport following the hounds over the adjacern property. Quite a large number of followers were out, among them being Miss Meads, on Colter's chestnut; Messrs D. B. McEwen (deputy master in charge), on Belle; J. Sexton (huntsman). Papa; J. Shaw (whip), Kaka; I. Shaw, Trojan; H. Waller, Rhoda; F. Waller, Motokio; J. Waller, Zanol; W. Scott, Skipper, Allan Scott, Lupette; D. Buick (Cloverlea), Kings Medal; N. Vile, Roney; D. Vile, Kenepuru; J. T. Hill, Grey Bill, K H. Collinson, Sprinkle; W. Davey, Gentle I adv W E. Thomas, Mazda; 1 • Jichearty, 'pomologlst; M Wood, Three Bells; J. Doreen, Playboy; G. Pern, L °Tho r drags were laid by Messrs .I. Shaw and P. R. Waller. \fternoon tea was provided b> 3ir •md Mrs D. B. McEwen, to whom, as also 'to the property owners hearty votes of thanks were accorded, on the motion ef Mr L. H. Collmson. The next hunt will be held at M E. Short's Almadale property, tieai Fcilding, on Saturday.
