PERSIAN PERIL.

The Council of the League of Naions met at St. James's Palace to conider inter alia the situation created *y the Bolshevist invasion of Persia, sir Eric Drummond, Secretary-Gene-ral, and Lord Curzon, representing iJritain, M. Deffeuriau France, and Prince Firovz, Persia. There were also iresent representatives of Spain, Belium, Japan, Italy and Greece. A docor, who is charged with the superision of repatriation of the Allied irisoners in Siberia, was present in an [dvisory capacity. l As regards Persia's appeal, it is nderstood that no unanimous deision has been arrived at, and with view of arriving at perfect concord etween the Persian representatives ,nd the rest of the members, the Council agreed that a separate meet--ig be held between the Persian and 'rench representatives, in the preswice of Sir Eric Drummond, with the foject of reaching a unanimous deusion. i -
