WEDDINGS.
BATTEN—MORRAH. The marriage was celebrated yesterday at All Saints Church of Miss Dorothy Morrah, elder daghter of Mrs Morrah and the late E. H. Morrah, of Palmerston North, and Mr Claude Batten, son of Mr and Mrs C. Batten, of Wellington. The bridal gown was of ivory crepe de chene, trimmed with deep fringe, with which she wore a large white hat swathed with ninon and finished with clusters of ospreys. The bridesmaid, Miss May Morrah, wore a frock of navy blue stockingette, with oriental trimming, and a hat of mole coloured feathers. Mr W. Seymour, of Wellington, was best man. ;A.fter the ceremony a reception was held at Mrs Foster-Pratt's house, Broad Street, Mrs Morrah receiving her guests in a smart frock of black and white ninon, and a black hat with white ospreys. Mrs Batten, mother of the bridegroom, wore black eharmeuse and a black hat. Mr and Mrs Batten left Palmerston by the midnight Main Trunk for Auckland. MND — McFARtiANE. The wedding took place in the Gospel Hall, Levin, yesterday, of Albert Lind, eldest son of Mr T. Lind, of Rongotea, and Janet McFarlane, eldest daughter of Mrs E. A. Buchanan of Levin. The bride, who was given away by Mr E. A. Buchanan, wore a frock of white crepe de chene and georgette. She also wore an embroidered veil 'with orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of white chrysanthemums and ferns. The bridesmaids were Misses Agnes and May McFarlane, their creme dresses being handembroidered, and they wore black lace hats trimmed with pink. Miss Mary Hockley, daughter of Mr J. Hockley, of Hiwinui, acted as flower girl. She was dressed in pale blue crepe de chene, and carried a basket of pink flowers and ferns. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaids were gold pendants. Mr Ray Lind. brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr Daniel McFarlane, of Hamilton, only brother of the bride, was groomsman. After the ceremony, which was performed bv Mr T. Rowe, of Rongotea. and Mr J. Phillips, of Levin, a reception was held in the Druids' Hall, which was profusely decorated for the occasion. Mr and Mrs Lind left by the Napier express for the south.
