\t yesterday’s meeting of the Patriotic Society Mr M. Cohen reported on the proceedings at the recent Pa^ Societies Conference, over " jj Tripp, of Wellington, presided. Mr Cohen pointed out the necessity ing as conservative as possible with •*he funds. Other members supported Mr Cohen in his opinion, stating that in order to cope with cases which would be constantly recurring for many vears to come, it was essential to hold back a large sum. Mr Nash stated that at an early date the Society would havp on opportunity ot going into the whole matter. THE NAME OF A TYKE may not mean much, unless it is a SPENCER-MOULTON.
