COTTON GOODS.
INCREASE OF 400 PER CENT. A Wellington business n;an, who deals in Manchester goods, gave the following figures to a Wellington reporter, to show the increase in the cost of cotton goods, which, he is convinced have not yet reached, highwater mark. These are London (or indent) prices, but show the jump in or about the same proportion to tho retail prices:— 1914 1920 Yard "Yiird s. d. s. d.
