Opportunity is Here! QUALIFIED OPHTHALMIC OPTICIANS. MANUFACTURERS OF ALU OPTICAL liENSES. SPECIALISTS IX SIGHT-TESTING AND FRAMEFITTING. All Classes of Optical Repair Worl»at a Few Hours' Notice by Our Own Appointed Workroom. in Our Scientifically Sight is precious—the eyes deserve the best possible care and attention that you can give them. Any loss of vision is always to be deplored. RUSSELL AND INNES are qualified Opticians with a thorough knowledge of all branches of optical work. Sight testing has been their life study. Few men in New Zealand have had the opportunity of so many years of continuous practice. They have been associated with some of the foremost eye specialists of England. No opticians in New Zealand have more thoroughly up-to-date sight testing rooms and workshop. They have the facilities for making all classes of optical lenses. The inefficient optician makes many grave mistakes in undertaking repair work. The glasses they are handling may have been accurately fitted to a customer's face, and if not repaired with the measurements exactly the same as they were, the good work o!' the expert may be all undone —the customer wondering why the glass! formerly. Then, again, lease replaced accurately not seem as Then, again, lenses have to be removed and replaced accurately in the frame, otherwise the wearer-will have considerable discomfort, and, in some cases, permanent loss of vision. The man that receives repair work over the counter and promises to have it faithfully executed and then passes it on to unknown workmen; later returning it to the customer with an air of assurance, is no better than the >m door to door with a pretence of sight testing, unless lie has carefully noted the power and position of the lenses and the exact measurements of the frame. All this is necessary to give the public their due. RUSSELL AND INNES' repair work is done under their personal supervision. Sight neglect is the -worst kind of neglect. Defects of vision never cure themselves. Any defective vision will steadily grow worse unless it is corrected. Rightly-fitted glasses applied early will remedy the trouble. Every day that you neglect eye trouble makes it correspondingly harder to overcome because of the limited power of the inside eye muscles. Eye weakness certainly gets worse, and, like a stone rolling down hill, it gets worse faster and faster. There are many thousands of spectacle wearers who foolishly put off wearing glasses as long as they could— -thought they were doing what was right, but who after a few days of wearing their proper correction and discovering the immense relief and comfort obtainable, admit their foolishness, and are sorry they did not have glasses long before. Persons with weak eyes and some who were never conscious of any defect in their sight are enabled by a careful adjustment of glasses to see in a manner they never before thought possible. Others who were compelled to abandon their chosen calling on account of their sight are sent by a skilled optician back to work with eyes practically as good, and, in some cases better, than ever. Even cross eyes (Heterotopia), sore eyes, and affections of the lids can be relieved, and in most cases cured, with glasses.
