The 500 metres record was broken In - Norman Ross yesterday afternoon. When paced Ross covered the distance in 6min 44 2-ssecs, six seconds below his own record in Sydney. Hewon the 100 yards race in GOsecs, equal to the New Zealand record held by Paterson. AUSTRALIAN SWIMMING. [Aust. and N.Z.
