WEDDING.

The marriage took place in St. Peter’s Chuijeh, Wellington, on Wednesday of Miss Alice Macdonald, third daughter of Mrs Macdonald, The Terrace, to Mr William Torrence Irvine, elder son of, Mr and Mrs W. T. Irvine, of Palmerston North. Th'c- ceremony was performed by the Yen. Archdeacon Johnson. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr F. R. Streeter, wore a tailored costume of fawn tricotine and Leghorn hat swathed with electric blue velvet ribbon, the brim partly wreathed with pink, grey, and blue flowers, and she carried a posy in which pink was the predominating colour. Miss Aileen Macdonald attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a cream gabardine coat and skirt with a cream tagol hat swathed with blue, pink, and mauve ribbon. She carried a posy to match. The best man was Mr Russell Irvine, brother of the bridegroom. Mrs Macdonald wore a navy blue gabardine coat frock with a French hat of grey Leghorn wreathed with shaded mauve and pink hydrangeas flatly placed against a swathe of primrose mauve ribbon showing a touch of French pink. Mrs Irvine (Palmerston North) wore a tunic frock of black crepe de chenc and an amethyst toque. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by Mrs Macdonald at her home on The Terrace, and later Mr and Mrs W. T. Irvine left by the Main Trunk express for the North, the latter travelling in a grey costume with skunk furs and a lemon-coloured tagcl hat trimmed with royal blue ribbon and tiny posies.
