HIS CHURCH.
APPRECIATION OF MR MORRAH'S SERVICES. At last night's meeting of the parishioners of All Saints' .Church the following motion of appreciation of the services of the late Mr E. H. Morrah was carried, those present standing in silence:
"That this meeting of parishioners desires to record its appreciation of the great services rendered to All Saints' parish by the late Mr E. IT. Morrah, as churchwarden, lay reader, and in many other ways, most especially in connection with the building of the present church, and at the same time to convey its deepest sympathy to the members of his family in their bereavement." The vicar, in commenting on Mr Morrah 's work in his report said: "In the death of Mr Morrah the church has lost a great friend and a most efficient helper. As a vicar's warden and lay reader, as a member of the board and the children's home, and as the organiser of many schemes for the welfare and extension of the church in the parish, Mr Morrah has set a high standard of usefulness and cheerful service, ! which will be, I trust, an incentive to i others to emulate his example." The churchwardens in their report also expressed their appreciation as follows: "Wo should like to put on record our deep sense of the great loss this district has incurred through the death of our friend and colleague, Mr E. 11. Morrah. May his example and zeal for the welfare of our church stimulate us all to renewed exertions on ■ its behalf. When recalling him to mind, | may we all remember what he was coni stantly telling us, that we arc the . church."
