MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
(To the Editor.)
Sir—Your leader of this morning should bo read by every ratepayer in the borough. There has apparently been neither economy nor efficiency shown in the management of borough affairs The Mayor has been overworked, and an overworked man cannot do justice to himself or to the town. Too much money has been spent on unnecessary things, and important works have been practically neglected Councillors have been placidly content to be more ornamental than useful. We have nearly reached the limit of our rates. Borough accounts show that fcll f 7do has been .spent in excess of ordinary revenue during the past two y ais, ana there is nothing adequate to snow foi it. Surely businessmen were never more urgently required to m'i..ge our affairs.—l am, etc., ~,..,.... vxr A. BU'.'Ji V>AN.
