DISPERSAL SALE OF PARORANGI STUD.
There was a large attendance of sportsmen at the dispersal sale of Mr Ernest Short’s blood stock, held at “Almadale” yesterday. The sale was conducted by Mr R, C. Wallace, of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., who were entrusted with the sale. Bidding for the horses in training was brisk, the well-known sprinter Demos, who was purchased l»y Mr J. Hurley, owner of Sir Fisher, bringing 600 guineas. The well-known performer Sonnino was passed in. Taking it on the whole, the sale was a most successful one and both the vendor and the purchasers should be satisfied. The following is a list of the sales: —•
