PATRIOTIC SHOP

The districts of Pohangina, Taikorea and the central part of town sent in supplies to the Patriotic Shop last week. £35 was taken and the competitions resulted as .follows: —Goat, Miss Perry; blouse, Mrs Pasley; box, Mr Morris; and basket, Murial Shipton, Will'ard Houso. This week supplies will come from Eangiotu, Ldngburn and West End districts. The Town and Country Patriotic Women Workers have everything in good working order in connection with tho Spring Show catering. A great deal of work is being done by the women in the hope of raising a substantial amount in aid of the British Red Cross Society. It is hoped that everyone who can will make a special point of having their luncn and teas at tho Showgrounds on October 30th and 31st. Luncheons are 2s (5d and teas Is. Cakes and sundwiches may be bought for children at tho Winter Show dining room.
