ADVISE RESUMPTION OF WORK. [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Saturday, 1.36 a.m.) LONDON, July 25th. The Press Bureau states: The trade union Advisory Committee, after hearing Mr Churchill’s statement, declared that the notice issued by the Coventry munition firm was unofficial, unauthorised, inaccurate and misleading. The Committee decided to ask Mr Churchill to instruct the firm to cancel this perversion of the Government’s policy.. The Committee resolved that after the men resume work they will request the Government to appoint a committee of inquiry, representing the Government, the employers and the workers. The Committee also strongly urges the men to resume immediately, inasmuch as the Government has agreed to the Gommittee J s proposal.
